Karachi: New Zealand will visit Pakistan in April 2023 for 10 white ball matches to redeem the limited overs left this year and also play two tests and three ODIS next year, Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB) said on Monday.
PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja said New Zealand will visit Pakistan for two tests and three odi in December / January 2022-23 as part of the future tour program and will return in April 2023 to play five odi and T20is to redeem the September tour.
“Confirmation by New Zealand confirmed Pakistani status as an important member of the cricket community,” said Ramiz in a statement on Monday.
Two tests and three odi in December / January 2022-23 will be part of the ICC World Test Championship and the World Super League World Cup Cricket ICC each.
New Zealand has left their limited tour in Pakistan – which has three ODIs and five T20IS – before the beginning of the first ODI in Rawalpindi, citing security threats, which was confirmed by the host council no.
The British has participated in New Zealand in leaving his short tour to Pakistan just before the T20 World Cup in October.
Ramiz then attacked on the New Zealand cricket board and England not to play in Pakistan.
On Monday, Ramiz noted that Pakistan would host eight tests, 11 ODIS and 13 T20i against Australia, England and New Zealand in the period March 2022 to April 2023.
He said the New Zealand twin tour from Pakistan was strong and the friendly relationship between Two boards.
He thanked the Kiwi Martin Snedden partner and the New Zealand cricket board for their understanding and support.
Ramiz said both PCB and NZC will continue to work together to complete the series date, which will be announced in time.
Back in September, Ramiz had offended when New Zealand returned home from Rawalpindi after announcing only a few hours before the first Odi was a security threat and they returned home.
Then, England also took out men’s men and women from a white ball tour in Pakistan scheduled.
Australia is scheduled to tour Pakistan for the first time since 1998 early next year, followed by tour by Britain and now New Zealand.
West Indies recently played the T20 international series in Karachi but had to go home without playing Odis because of several positive cases of Covid-19 in the visitor camp.
The international team has been mostly away from Pakistan since the terrorist attack on the Sri Lanka team’s bus in Lahore in 2009.
It forced the Pakistani national team to play “home” suitable outside the country for more than six years.
