NFIR to launch a long week protest against the monetization of the train starting today

Nagpur: Expressing great concerns over the decision to monetize railing assets, the National Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR) has decided to observe protests a week from September 13-18 throughout the Indian train (IR).
National Spokesman NFIR Somnath Malik said, “The decision of the central government to submit railway and train assets to private players is not for the interests of the country and train workers.
Employees will hold a large demonstration and demonstration for a week.” Malik said the monetization policy showed Sales of mega public assets by train, road transportation, power, telecommunications, warehousing, mining, flights, ports, stadiums and even urban real estate.
“While framing policies, the government forgets that these vital assets include the state and not privately property.
The term nfir action government as anti-person and anti-poor.
It will cost them,” he added.
Malik said nfir was surprised that the government had “failed to recognize the role of IR”, which is the path of the nation’s life because it provides services to all parts of society, especially the poor.
The federation reminded the government that more than 2.30 crore people traveled by train a day.
IR transports more than 1,233 metric tons (MT) freight in 2021-2022 in the middle of a pandemic and ensures a supply chain without interruption.
Malik said, “Instead of appreciating IR and his workforce, the government intends to monetize its assets to benefit some individual monopolists.
The government has also failed to record how the privatization of the train in many countries has proven the disaster, force these countries to review and whiten decisions .
“Other points highlighted by Malik are rates by private players who can affect the middle class of the community.
At present, IR is reportedly discussing more than RS50,000 Crore per year to fulfill the obligations of social services and this loss is not compensated by the government.
“If the train is allowed to make a decision to produce more income, it will be able to produce more and develop the system.
NFIR argues that it will be very inappropriate to allow private operators to run the train using train tracks, stations, signaling etc.,” said Malik .
The NFIR leader added, “The railroad production unit has emerged as the most efficient unit that is able to produce stock rolling global standards and cheaper than the international market.
It is not wise to propose a corporation of the railroad production unit, because the action will endanger the nation.” Nfir, While opposing the privatization, corporatization and monetization of the train, which calls for train employees to rise from the government’s decision and stand united to “launch a sustainable struggle” to save the train and nation, Malik told TII.
