TRICHY: Many non-governmental businesses and political parties from Trichy town have established helplines to assist people in need of emergency assistance such as blood donation and hospital beds. The businesses have approached the district government seeking travel licenses as there’s a demand for home delivery of medicine and food to people at home isolation. Their helpline 9488809748 and 9842408000 can help residents looking for hospital beds, ambulance and blood vessels to get critically-ill patients. “We’ve received 20 calls up to now on Tuesday. We’ve got a particular helpline for both differently-abled residents too,” stated P Lenin, DYFI district secretary. In the same way, Alwarthope established Jamaat-E-Islam Hind and Students Islamic Organisation of India have created a war area to assist infected individuals requiring meals.
