Hubballi: An NGO has decided to march to Suvarna Soudha on December 22 to highlight his request for free public toilets in the Hubballi-Dharwad region.
The Museum of Basava, Technical and Recycling Art wants to sue before the Minister of Chief Justice Besavaraj Bommai.
The NGO decided to intensify his protest after the authority of the citizenship failed to handle free public toilet requests before the winter assembly session, and Bommai also failed to overcome this problem.
Veerappa Arkeri, from NGOs, said this would be the first example that an NGO had demanded free public toilets from the Minister of Chief through March because there were no other choices left other than intensifying agitation and putting pressure on the ministerial head, who was also from Hubballi.
“Along with the edition of the public toilet, we will highlight the problems related to cleaning and problems related to those who are physically challenged.
Activists from Besavav, Dharwad and other places will join the protest, he added.
Memoranda was delivered to local civilian authorities from Hubballi -Dharwad several times and to the Dharwad District Administration, but nothing was done, the NGO said.
“The authorities must maintain 96 public toilets, which have existed for a long time and must continue to use free urinals.
At present they charge Rs 2 for the urinal, “he said.
He also added that many people urinate in public places because they are not affordable to pay for it every time.
In accordance with Part 245 of the corporate law of Karnataka City, the toilet must be made by residents.
Toilets must be arranged in more than 20 workers working on the market, tribun traces, livestock holders, theaters, train stations or other places.
However, in Hubballi-Dharwad, the rules are not followed, Arkeri said.
