NGT is looking for action on Aravali encroachment

Gurgaon: National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed to the government of Haryana and Rajasthan to take quick action to eliminate illegal construction and encroachment in Aravalis.
Countries have been given three months to submit their actions taken.
The court heard the petition on Wednesday on illegal development in ‘Gair Mumkin Pahar’ from the Aravalis Hill in three Haryana Regency – Faridabad, Noah and Gurgaon – and Alwar in Rajasthan.

Chairman Ngt Adarsh ​​Kumar Goel directed the Secretaries of Haryana and Rajasthan’s head to oversee the officers who were competent to oversee compliance with the command.
“Officers must be ranked below the additional secretaries and can monitor compliance by understanding the scope of the actions to be taken so that this court is not in the dark about the State Stand.
Nodal officers can submit compliance reports after ensuring all facts within three months before the court, “NGT order said.
The next hearing in this case is scheduled for January 28, 2022.
In a written statement submitted on June 22, Rajasthan has mentioned the level of encroachment and improvement actions taken.
For Haryana, several departments in Gurgaon, Noah and Faridabad both submitted an action to take a report on illegal construction in Aravalis.
However, the NGT court said it expected “consolidated replies” for three districts “with details of further action”.
In illegal encroachment and violations in the village of Ankhir and Mewla Maharajpur in Faridabad and in Nuh District, The Tribunal said: “We found that the actions taken were inadequate also incomplete.
It is not clear whether illegal construction has been destroyed, which is an important step besides starting prosecution And publishing shows notification.
“The court added that in their next statement, Haryana and Rajasthan could provide details about the delayed process at the Supreme Court.
In a drone survey recently by the Ministry of Forestry, it is estimated that there are more than 1,000 illegal structures in Gurgaon Aravalis, including agricultural houses, nurseries, slums and clusters.
The structure is concentrated in areas such as galpahari, gairatpur, sohna, Raisina and Manesar.
At Faridabad Aravalis, the illegal structure in Khori Village was recently destroyed during a trip by city corporation.
Problems in waiting at the Supreme Court, with the next hearing scheduled for October 22.
Meanwhile, encroachment was also destroyed in Nalhar, Biwan and Ferozepur-Jhirka in Noah and the forest area had been restored.
