This stands against the public interest and non-compliance from this court order,” said the bench and Bench directed DJB for Pay a fee of Rs 5 lakh per month from June 1, 2021 to Compliance.
Only doses of ferric chloride, cover and some plantations can hardly be considered as adequate steps in this problem, the Tribunal said.
“It is clear that the DJB failed to carry out his obligations to prevent odor in STP and only shallow steps were taken to claim that the odor was controlled.” The problem has survived for a long time but the pandemic request was brought to justify attitude.
