NGT took a serious note of violating the bamboo council

Nagpur: The National Zone Bench National Green Tribunal (NGT) in Pune has recorded a series of violations of forest, environmental and pollution by the Bamboo Development Board of Maharashtra (MBDB) and other institutions.
It has been looking for a reply within six weeks.
On October 14, 2020, TOI was the first to report about the big tragedy that was avoided in the Gorewada reserve forest after the explosion occurred in one of the unit of bamboo treatment illegally.
AAAM ADMI Party (AAP) Pratap Goswami Neta raised the problem in various forums but no action was taken.
Finally, Social Activist Manoj M Waree through his lawyer Rahul Choudhary moved Ngt last year.
In its application, the applicant raised a violation of the provisions of the forest law (conservation), 1980, water (prevention and control of pollution) of Act, 1974, and air pollution), 1981 by MBDB.
The Regional Environment Committee (REK) of Members of Suresh Chopne said, “MBDB operates a chemical processing unit for bamboo processing in the Gorewada Reserve forest without obtaining previous permission under the part 2 FCA 1980.
I welcome NGT’s decision.” Resenna shows that the bamboo council failed to obtain approval to establish from the Maharashtra pollution control body (MPCB) and install a pollution control system for the treatment of effluents produced from the activities that were revealed.
MBDB conducts activities in the unit without installing the necessary controls in the ‘pressure vessels’ as mandated by the rules of the Maharashtra factory, 1963.

All activities were being carried out in the reserve forest without finding permissions under FCA, 1980.
