Thiruvananthapuram: The State Government has spent RS 965.01 Crore for Covid-19 activities related to out of RS 1156.22 Crore under the National Health Mission (NHM) until July this year, which part of the country is only 34%.
In addition, the state has spent RS 878.07 Crore from the Minister’s Ministerial Assistance funds, according to the details of expenditure for Covid-19 mitigation in the state.
While the country part is Rs 393.35 Crore under NHM, the rest of Rs 762.87 Crore is from the funding center.
The central part includes Covid-19 defense activities (RS 648.17 Crore), the National Health Mission Fund from the previous financial year was permitted to be used for Covid-19 activities (RS 105.62 Crore) and funds for vaccination (RS 9.08 Crore) .
The Country section includes Covid-19 defense activities (Rs 49.47 Crore), sharing countries under NHM (Rs 70.41 Crore), Disaster Mitigation Fund (RS 70.69 Crore), Funds for Hospital Construction Committee (RS 57 , 36 Crore) and Covid-19 Brigade Incentives of Contract Employees and Allowances (Rs 145.42 Crore).
Among the regencies, while Thiruvananthapuram (RS 81.15 Crore), Malappuram (RS 74.80 Crore) and Kozhikode (RS 73.30 Crore) has the highest allocation and expenses for Covid-19 related activities, Kasaragod (RS 19.65 Crore ), IDUKKI (RS 21.18 Crore) and Wayanad (26.28 Crore) are at the bottom of the list.
In fact, Kasaragod, with the lowest allocation at Rs 19.17 Crore, has crossed the allocation to spend RS 19.65 Crore (102.5%).
Similarly, Kozhikode has spent 100% of the funds set aside for it.
Numbers show that almost all districts have spent most of the funds allocated to them, exceptions to become alarpuzha (86.28%), thrissur (84.15%) and kannur (84.90%).
The health workforce salary consists of the largest portion of expenditure (Rs 269.32 Crore), while Rs 194.18 Crore is spent on drugs, allied equipment, masks, PPE kits etc.
RS countries also spend 100.93 crores for detection of infection and transportation samples , like per number.
Also, Rs 55.86 Crore is spent on procuring equipment for infected people.
