Ghaziabad: The Ministry of Health has dragged his feet through the approved expenditure fund for programs under the National Health Mission (NHM).
District judges have now asked for officials to spend 75% of the funds available under each head in a week and remove all delayed bills.
During the meeting held recently, it was found that until July this year Rs 11.9 Crore had been spent against Rs 23.5 Crore provided for the district under NHM.
In the first four months of fiscal 2021-2022, the department has not spent even one rupee in many programs.
For example, under an integrated disease supervision program, around Rs 15 Lakh is issued.
But nothing is spent.
The department does not spend money on national leprosy programs and health care programs are also related to the elderly.
The amount spent on cancer prevention and control, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and stroke only Rs 7,935 from RS 36 Lakh.
The bill associated with Polio, Covid-19 and the National Rural Health Mission is waiting with the Ministry of Health.
