Ranchi: Unlimited strikes called by Contractual Workers of the National Health Mission State Unit (NHM) entered its sixth day on Sauriday, which leads to cancellations / delays in several reviews of various programs run by NHM.

More than 180 contractual employees protested the sudden termination of a senior colleague and alleged abuse by senior officials.

Contractual employee delegates said talks failed when the department did not promise to fulfill their demands in writing.
When asked, Singh said, “We have received all their demands.
However, we will not cancel the termination of the employee service issued from his post.” The protesters said they would continue their strike until all their demands were fulfilled.
