NHRC Kinds panel to probe violence in Bengal

NEW DELHI: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Monday featured a committee to research complaints of post-poll violence in West Bengal, after a Calcutta high court order in the subject.
In a declaration, NHHRC said recently appointed chairman Justice (Retd) Arun Mishra comprised a committee to”inquire into the complaints of post-poll violence in West Bengal, in compliance with the dictates of the Calcutta high court”.
The committee, NHRC stated, that will Begin working immediately, and is directed by NHRC member Rajeev Jain, together with Atif Rasheed, vice president of the National Commission for Minorities, Rajulben L Desai, member of the National Commission for Women, Pradip Panja, Chairman of this West Bengal State Human Rights Commission along with Raju Mukherjee, Amongst Others.
The committee was entrusted with analyzing complaints obtained by NHRC or people that it could get.
The rights board was requested to determine the”men, prima facie responsible for offense and the officers that claimed calculated silence about the problem”, the announcement said.
“The cases will be analyzed, such as by seeing the affected regions and also (the committee) will submit a detailed report on the large court of Calcutta concerning the current situation and steps should be taken to guarantee assurance of those people they can peacefully reside inside their homes and carry on their job or company to make their own livelihood,” NHRC stated.
