NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) chargesheeted 2 Hizbul Mujahideen overground employees (OGWs) on Saturday at a situation associated with a criminal conspiracy to carry out terror attacks at various locations in Uttar Pradesh and other areas of the nation.
The chargesheet from Nisar Ahmad Sheikh (52) and also Nishad Ahmad Butt (42), inhabitants of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar, was registered prior to the NIA particular court in Lucknow under different parts of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Indian Penal Code, a spokesperson of the research agency stated.
An instance was initially enrolled in Lucknow on September 12, 2018, against Kamruj Zaman along with many others regarding a criminal conspiracy by Hizb-ul-Mujahideen cadres to carry out terror episodes at various areas in the nation and different areas of the nation, the officer said.
The NIA had re-registered the situation in September 24, 2018, also taken over the evaluation, according to the spokesperson.
He explained the NIA had previously filed a charge sheet from detained Zaman and absconding accused Osama Bin Javed on March 11, 2019.
Javed was afterwards killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on September 28 this year.
Investigation has shown that Javed had been harboured and aided by chargesheeted accused Sheikh and Butt, he explained.
Sheikh utilized to organize safe transportation for Javed along with other terrorists of Hizbul Mujahideen, ” the official stated.
Butt had helped Javed as well as other Hizbul terrorists by giving refuge and other logistics assistance.
He’d also assembled a hideout in his house in Kishtwar so as to offer secure shelter to the terrorists,” the spokesperson stated.
