SRINAGAR: The National Investigation Agency seeks offices and the House of Khurram Parvez, the chair of a self-style from the J & K of the Civil Society NGO coalition, here in Srinagar on Monday in connection with the investigation of terror funding.
The Parvez family member claims Monday night that he had been arrested.
Nia’s press statement said the various entities received money from undisclosed donors and the money was used to fund terror activities.
Khurram Parvez, initially resident of Amira Lizard, and his relatives who are lawyers, are running NGOs called J & K coalitions of civil society.
Khurram, who now lives on Jalan Gupkar, on the back side of Sonwar in Srinagar, also employs several women to run his NGO.
Parvez was detained on September 16, 2016, but the J & K High Court had canceled his detention on November 25, 2016, said it was arbitrary and without justification.
The Nia team invaded the Khurram office in Amira Lal Chowk and his home in Sonwara, in the city.
The agency has won the Khurram passport and female colleagues, who often travel to several countries.
The official source said the name Khurram Parvez also appeared in Chargesheet against Gautam Navlakha activist in the case of Elgar Parishad.
