SRINAGAR: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday arrested a human rights activist here for carrying out attacks in various places in connection with the case of terror funding, officials said.
Khurram Parvez, coalition coalition coalition of J & K civil society, was detained during the attack in his sonawar residence in the city, the official said.
On October 28 last year, Nia had been looking for 10 locations, including Parvez, in the valley and one in Bangalore in cases related to what NGOs and considered raising funds in India and abroad on behalf of charitable activities and abroad.
Then use the funds to carry out separatist and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
This case was registered on October 8, 2020 under the IPC and UPA sections when receiving “credible information that NGOs and certain beliefs raise funds in and abroad through what is called donations and business contributions” and then use it to fund terror activities.
In the Union region, the agency said.
In addition to Sonawar, a raid was carried out in the main office of the Civil Society Coalition at Amirakadal Bund in the heart of the city, the official said.
They say some burdensome documents and electronic devices are confiscated during the raid and further details are awaited.
