Patna: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday received permission to interrogate the alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba recruiting Haji Salim in the Central Beur prison for three days.
Salim lodged there for the alleged involvement at the Darbhanga train station on June 17 bomb bomb bombs and Pan Indian terror plots.
Salim, after his arrest with the Associate Kafil Ansari from Kairana in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, on June 2, has fallen ill.
Nia could not bring it on detention for detailed interrogation solely due to her illness.
The agency on Friday prayed before the Adj-XIII Court Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi (responsible for the Special Nia Court) to interrogate three days Salim in prison from Saturday.
The court allowed it.
Source said Salim was a vital relationship between the allegedly let the terrorist brothers Mohammad Nasir Khan and Imran Khan and Pakistani-based organizational-based operations.
“Only he could reveal the larger plot of Pan Indian terror attacks planned by Pakistani-based handlers.
He has been to Pakistan several times and can tell about people who are related to Lahore or Karachi-based content,” said a source Nia.
Meanwhile, Nia did not suppress further detention of Nasir and Imran after they were passed on to Hakodi’s resistency.
Both of them remained in Nia custody for 14 days where they were interrogated and taken to Cairana and Hyderabad several times.
The four will be produced again before the court on July 23.
Prison Sources said doctors in prison treated Salim through consultation with experts from IGIM.
“He has chronic kidney disease.
Some Salim test reports are awaited,” said the source.
Source said Salim and Kafil Ansari were on a high security ward with men who looked after them all the time.
“Nasir and Imran will also be stored in a high security ward,” said the source.
Nasir and Imran were arrested from Hyderabad on June 30.
They also belong to Cairana, but have settled in Hyderabad two decades ago.
Nia’s sources said they had prepared an IED with liquid explosives and stored in the clothing package and ordered it on the train from Secunderabad to Darbhanga.
