Mumbai: Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has arrested a 36-year-old Nigerian man with Methaqualone, a recreational drug that is prohibited, worth more than Rs 6 Crore, said an official on Thursday.
Inusa Godwin aka Jhon was arrested from Arey Road in Suburban Goregaon on Wednesday after the ANC received a tip-off that someone arrived there to give the medicine, he said.
Godwin already has a case listed at several police stations including the Ghatkopar unit and Azad Maidan from the ANC police station and Sonegaon in Nagpur, the official added.
He told the Anc official that his passport was confiscated by the court in other cases under narcotics narcotics and the laws of psychotropic substances.
