Udhagamandalam: The Nilgiris district captured 583 new instances of Covid-19 on Tuesday, taking the tally into 19,661.
Together with 604 patients recovered and were discharged to the evening, the complete number of patients regained at the district increased to 15,613 up to now.
The district reported 2 Covid deaths, taking the cost on 94.
Of those 3,954 busy instances, around 50 percent of these are under home quarantine whereas the remaining patients have been treated in different health centers including government physicians and Covid care centers.
Even though 40 percent of these active instances are out of Gudalur taluk, the rest are scattered round the other 3 blocks from the district.
