Udhagamandalam: The Nilgiris seen 65% fall in daily Covid caseload in the past ten times, whereas the amount of active instances came down by 35 percent .According to officers, the prevailing e-pass system played a significant part in bringing down everyday new cases.While the daily caseload on June 8 stood in 498, the district reported 174 new cases on Thursday.
The active instances from the registry June 8 has been 4,204 also it had been 2,700 on Thursday.
The district reported just one Covid passing on the afternoon, taking the toll on 141.
“Besides rigorous execution of Covid protocols and also concentrated testing for the virus, the human e-pass strategy played a significant part in controlling the daily caseload,” said deputy director of public health Dr P Balusamy.
“Since the amount of traffic to the district is still limited, there haven’t been any indicator instances of the virus from the previous week.
Additionally there were no instances of local folks with traveling background reported in the last week” As stated by the health , the instances reported in the last couple of days were of main, secondary and tertiary contacts.
