Ayodhya: Tragedy hit Warehouse Warehouse Ayodhya along the Sarka River on Friday afternoon when nine members of the Agra family, including women and children sank while doing a ritual bath.
While six bodies were taken by the rescue team, the other three were swept away by the lost circuit.
Fifteen the same family pilgrims from Agra came to Ayodhya to offer prayers at Ramjanmabhoomi and took holy sauce in Saryu.
Eyewitnesses said, when some pilgrims tried to navigate waters to swim, they slipped and fell.
Without a barricade chain along Sarku to help bathe, other family members who jump into the river to save their relatives are trapped in a strong current.
Hearing their shouts, residents swung in action and managed to save six family members.
Immediately, PAC Jawan joined the rescue mission after Administration Ayodhya launched a massive search operation for the missing.
“If the guardian of a trained life is deployed to Ghats, life can be saved,” said a local resident.
Yogi Piercing Minister Adityanath directed senior officers to achieve surgery and oversee rescue operations.
He also directed divers, police and provincial armed constations (PAC) to carry out a quick rescue operation.
The medical supervisory head, Ayodhya District Hospital, Dr.
C N B Tripathi said, six bodies had reached the hospital and among them were two men, three women and a girl.
District Judge Anuj Kumar Jha said, “Fifteen family members from Agra Regency were bathing in Guptaar Ghat when they slipped to Saryhu and were swept away by a strong current.
Six people have died, six saved, but three still can’t be traced.
Search operation lights up .
“The deceased includes Lalit (40), PANKAJ (25), Shruti (20), Rajkumari (60), Sita (35) and DrISHTI (4).
Those who are lost include Priyanshi (16), Julee (35) and Sarthak (10).
They are all residents of Shastri Puram Agra.
