Thiruvananthapuram: Nine more cases of omicron have been reported in the state.
With a total of 24 this case has been reported here.
Among nine reported cases, six were in Ernakulam and three cases were in Thiruvananthapuram.
Two people who came from England, two who came from Tanzania and each of which came from Ghana and Ireland had been tested positive for Omicron.
Two people from Nigeria and one from England have been tested positively in Thiruvananthapuram.
All six who have reached the airport in Ernakulam were tested positively in the test carried out at the airport itself.
Therefore they are isolated in hospitals directly from the airport.
As a result, no one has come directly with these people.
But both people (husband and wife) from Nigeria to Thiruvananthapuram on December 10 were tested positively only on December 17.
The two children from this couple are in the contact list and therefore they have also been isolated.
The third person who came from England was tested positive at the airport itself and therefore was isolated directly to the hospital from the airport.
As a result there was no one in the contact list of 51-year-old women.
