Tirupati: Nine people were killed in a Gory Road accident reported near Budagavi at Uveravakonda Mandal in the Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday night.
According to the police, the deceased was a native population of Nimmagallu Village at URavakonda Mandal.
The car’s inmates returned to their village after attending a wedding in Bellary, Karnataka, and when they approached Budagavi, a truck that quickly hit their vehicle, leaving nine dead in a place before help could arrive.
Local police who rushed to the place had had great difficulties in taking the bodies of the deceased from the remnants of vehicles that had a severe damaged in the accident.
The URAVakonda police shifted the body from the deceased to the regional government hospital for postmortem and had registered a case.
The deceased’s identity has not been confirmed by the police.
