Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Medical Institute (SGPGI) has been ranked fifth in the country with a score of 72.45 .
Institute of Medical Sciences, University of Banaras Hindu, has been ranked 7th, the medical university of King George Lucknow is 9 and the Institute of Medical Sciences, the Muslim University of Aligarh is 15.

Officials at the State Medical Education Department said that achievements were motivating but efforts to further improve their performance.
