Kanpur: IIT Kanpur Improves its ranking in the National Institutional Framework (NIRF) released by the Ministry of Education on Thursday.
While in the entire list, IIT Kanpur stood in fifth position, in the engineering section, it was safe to rank fourth, preceded by IIT-Madras, Iit-Delhi and Iit-Bombay.
Other old Iels-Kharagpur, Roorkee and Guwahati-stand each, sixth and seventh (in the technical category).
In the entire list, IIT-Madras is placed in number one.
This is the third year in a row when the IIT-Madras topped the list.
In 2018, the Indian Science Institute was at the top followed by IIT-Madras.
In 2020 and 2019, IIT Kanpur secured sixth rank (the entire list) in NIRF.
This year, IIT Kanpur jumped over rank and stood fifth.
In 2018 and 2017, IIT Kanpur was in the overall order.
In addition to IIT Kanpur, BHU is the only institution from this year to seek among 10 state education institutions.
Bhu secured 10th place, while Iit-Varanasi was ranked 28th.
