NIRF Ranking 2021 in Odisha: SOA secures a total of 37 NIRF ratings, utkal to get 87 among universities

Bhubaneswar: Like the previous year, this time four educational institutions from Odisha were among the top 100 rankings of the National Institutional Organization (NIRF) framework announced by the Union Minister of Education on Thursday.
Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), which is considered a university, received a number of 37 overall in this country increasing its last year (38).
The Kalaaa Institute of Industrial Technology (Kiit), which is considered a university, has received the 39th rating in the overall category among the top 100 institutions throughout the country.
It also increases its ranking compared to the previous year’s performance (44th rank).
But the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, which has performed well and adds the country in the overall category, accepts the 41st rating overall against ranking 32 years ago.
Other National Institutions IIT Bhubaneswar cannot increase the rating of previous years.
This year it ranks overall 58th against 56 by 2020 and 46 in 2019.

Other institutions such as Utkal University are in the 101-150 ribbon, while CV Raman Global University, SCB Medical College and hospitals and Vssut Burla are in the ribbon band 151-200 in the overall category.
In the university category, SOA secured the 20th rank followed by Kiit (21).
SOA has secured the top ranking among state universities in sequence for six years.
It has pocketed 20th place last year and 24 in 2019.
Utkal University has witnessed an increase in ranked in the NIRF University category.
This year has received 87th rating against 96 years ago.
In 2019, the university was in the 101-150 ribbon.
Vssut Burla is in a ribbon to rank 101-150, while CV Raman Global University, Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) and Xavier University are at the base of 151-200.
In the technical category, Nit Rourkela and IIT Bhubaneswar each got 20 and 28 ratings.
These institutions cannot increase the previous year 16 and 22.
Other institutions are SOA (32 ranks), Kiit (39), CV Raman Global University (100), Vssut Burla (116), Silicon Institute of Technology (SIT) Bhubaneswar (163), CUTM (185) and IIIIT BHubaneswar (190).
This year’s SOA received rank 21 in the medical category, while AIIMS Bhubaneswar got ranked 31st.
Kiit has received 36 ratings followed by SCB Medical College and Hospital (39).
In the category of teeth, SOA and Kiit bagged 14 and 17 respectively.
The research category was added this year for the first time, Nit Rourkela got 31st ranking followed by IIT Bhubaneswar 43.
In the management category, the Kiit received 31st rankings followed by the 34th Xavier University, IIM Sambalpur (61) and IMI Bhubaneswar (62).
Kiit gets a number 10 legal category, while the cuttack of the National Law University secures the 18th rank.
Not one institution from Odisha secured rankings in the college category.
Similar situations are witnessed in the pharmaceutical and architecture category.
