Thiruvananthapuram: The National Speech and Hearing Institute (Nish) regulates online seminars on the management and rehabilitation of acid attacks on November 20, in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Justice.
The webinar, which will be held through Google Meet Platform and YouTube start at 10:30 a.m., will be led by Dr.
Jacob Kurian, assistant professor in plastic operations and reconstruction, government medical colleges, Thrissur.
The Indian government has included victims of acid attacks on a recognized disability list based on the rights of persons with disabilities, 2016.
According to actions, victims of acid attacks mean someone is defective due to similar attacks or corrosive substances.
The right management and rehabilitation process is very important to bring them back to their normal life.
One hour webinar, aims to create awareness about various intervention approaches to help children with disabilities and adapt and aim right.
