Nishikant DuBey BJP accused Mahua Moitra called him ‘Bihari Gunda’; TMC MP says ‘amused’ at a cost

New Delhi: MP BJP Nishikant Dubey on Wednesday claimed that the Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra Congress had called him “Bihari Gunda” during the meeting of the Standing Parliament Committee on Information Technology today.
Dubey, who is a parliamentary member of Jharkhand’s Godda, was taken to Twitter to say that the “rough language” Moitra had brought TMC hatred towards North Indians, especially Hindi-speaking people.
“The Trinamool Congress has harassed all Hindi-speaking people together with Bihar using the word Bihari Gunda.
Mamata Banerjee Ji, this abuse by MP MP Mahua Moitra has brought your party’s hatred of North India and especially Hindi-speaking people in front of the country , “Dubey tweeted in Hindi.
“Lok Sabha speaker Ji, heard abuse for the first time in the 13 years of parliamentary life.
TMC Mahua Mahua Member said three three times in the IT Committee meeting.
Om Birla Ji, Shashi Tharoor Ji has taken this contract to end this parliamentary tradition,” said the leader BJP in another tweet.
Meanwhile Moitra was also taken to Twitter to say: “I am somewhat entertained on charges of calling names.
It does not happen because there is no quorum – members are not present.
How can I call someone a name that doesn’t even exist !! A present list!” He tweeted.
With the absence of quorum, today’s meeting of the 31-member parliamentary committee on information technology led by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor to discuss the case of Pegasus reconnaissance with ministry officials, not held.
“After the heated debate about Bihari Gunde, the meeting was postponed due to the lack of quorum,” Committee members told Ani.
According to the rules, one third of the panel members were needed to complete the quorum but the BJP MPs who arrived for the meeting did not sign a registers of attendance stating that when Congress did not allow discussions about this problem in parliament, it could be discussed at the Committee meeting.
Only nine members of parliament in all parties arrived for the meeting, which according to the Notice of Lok Sabha Secretariat had registered his agenda as a “security data of citizens and privacy.” The panel has summoned officials from the Ministry of Electronics, Information and Technology and the Interior Ministry but the source said that officials from both ministries could not attend ongoing meetings.
A source told Ani: “Today the meeting did not occur due to lack of quorum, the meeting was postponed for another day.”
