New Delhi: The Chief Executive of Niti Aayog (CEO) Amitabh Kant on Tuesday was given a one year extension to 2022, according to the Ministry of Personnel.
This is the third extension for 65-year-old civil servants in the post.
The Cabinet Appointment Committee has agreed to an extension in Kant Mastering for the next period of one year outside June 30, 2021 to 30 June 2022 or up to further orders, he said.
He was appointed as CEO of the National Institution to change India (Niti Aayog) on February 17, 2016, for a period of two years.
Kant was later given an extension until June 30, 2019.
The term was increasingly extended for two years, until the end of this month, in June 2019.
