Lucknow: SP Supported by BJP Rebel MLA Nitin Agarwal defeated the official candidate of the Sosjwadi and Mahmudabad Mla Narendra Singh Verma in elections for the time post in the Assembly on Monday.
Nitin, son of SP Turncoat and former Rajya Sabha Naresh Agarwal member, 304 polls beat Verma who only got 60 votes in what turned out to be a one-sided contest, but with the main political tone.
As many as 368 votes were surveyed, where four were declared invalid and even as Congress and BSP had announced the booty of voting but several hobnobbing mlaas with the powerful party did vote.
BJP and Ally Apna Dal (Sone Lal) have a total strength of 313 in assembly with BJP having 304 MLA and AD (s) nine in the DPR 403.
Lone Mla from RLD Sahendra Singh Ramala, who has joined BJP, also chooses with the Saffron block.
BSP MLA Anil Singh and Congress Mla Rakesh Singh has also been hanging out with BJP.
Mla Aditi Singh rebel Congress, who has openly opposed the party holder and praised the CM Yogi Adityanath in the past threw his voice.
Likewise, Independent Candidates Safe Mani Tripathi and Raghuraj Pratap Singh aka King Bhaiyya have also sided with BJP.
