Patna: Minister of Chief (CM) Kumar Nitish on Saturday reached Delhi to participate in the CMS meeting of the 10 left-wing countries (LWE)-States-state to be held by Minister of Home Amit Shah on Sunday.
The meeting will be held in Delhi, Vigyan Bhawan where ministers of Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and West West or their representatives will speak in details about Maoist’s scenario in each .
Countries, a government official bihar told Tii.
Nitish, said the source, will tell the Union Minister of Lwe’s current scenario at Bihar and seeks aid central in the war against Maois.
According to official records, currently only four districts in Bihar – Style, Aurangabad, Jamui and LakhiCarai – are affected by Maois.
Nitish, said the source, will also seek financial assistance to carry out special development work in the district affected by LWE.
Similar review meetings about Lwewa held every year by the Interior Ministry.
But the meeting could not be held last year due to covid-induced locking and other restrictions, said Bihar government officials.
When overcoming a similar review meeting at Lwewa in Vigyan Bhawan in 2019, Nitish said under the country’s federal structure, the center could not break away to “mere review roles” by throwing balls into effective countries to neutralize the threat of Maois.
“If the effective steps in the real sense must be taken, mere discussion with the state government will not be sufficient.
The center also needs to take concrete steps.
Financial grants need to be continued for previous initiated schemes, such as the Special Infrastructure Scheme and Modernization of Police Forces,” Nitish said in August 2019.
