New Delhi: Head of Bihar Minister Nith Kumar will lead the delegation of all parties to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 23 to discuss the issue of caste-based census.
Tejashwi Yadav, opposition leader in the State Assembly, will be part of the delegation.
“I have been looking for an appointment with PM to meet him along with the delegation of all parties from Bihar, including RJAP Tejashwi Yadav, to discuss the issue of caste-based census.
I thank Him for giving us time next Monday at 11 am,” CM told reporters here.
Nitish Kumar, who has vocal about the need for caste-based census, said data will benefit all parts of society and facilitate more effective governance.
Nithy Kumar on August 3 was written to PM Modi, looking for his appointment to discuss the request of the caste-based census.
The leaders of the Grand Alliance’s opposition Five-Party, led by Tejashwi Yadav, have met CM for this problem recently.
Nitish Kumar, who heads the coalition government with BJP in the state, has confirmed that different abbreviations adopted by allies about this problem will not affect the coalition.
