Patna: Minister of Chief (CM) Kumar Nithy on Tuesday inaugurated the Stones Foundation for 989 health projects worth Rs 2,705 Crore.
He congratulated the Ministry of Health to implement various projects to strengthen health infrastructure in the state.
Among the projects inaugurated by cm including the State Cancer Institute at the Institute of Medical Sciences Indira Gandhi (IGIM), which has been formed with RS 120 Crore expenditure.
Assistant Professor Igims and Incharge of the Surgical Oncology Unit, Dr.
Manish Kumar, said the OPD service at the Institute of Cancer began on Tuesday.
“It has 100 beds with radiation facilities and chemotherapy.
The PET CT scan machine has also been installed at the Institute to detect cancer by scanning the whole body,” said Dr.
Manish.
CM also laid the foundation for the construction of 1,200 bed hospitals in Igims.
The trauma center of 30 beds at Lok Nayak Hospital Jai Prakash Narayan in Rajbanshi Nagar was inaugurated during the event.
The trauma center, built with RS 12.38 Crore expenditure, is equipped with a modular operating unit.
Telemedicine services are also expanded with the launch of the ESInjeevani OPD facility, the Ayush Chikitsak Bihar website and the Ayush Tele consulting application on the event.
Other health facilities inaugurated on Tuesday including Superspecialty Eye Hospital 106 in Rajendra Nagar, Cochlear implant facilities in Nalanda Medical College and hospitals and liquid oxygen facilities at PMCH, NMCH and DMCH through Cryogenic factories.
Overcoming the event, Minister of Health Pandey said oxygen plants were established in 122 health centers throughout the state.
“This plant will be made functional at the end of this month.
Apart from oxygen plants, 5,000 type D oxygen cylinders and 6,500 oxygen concentrators are available in different hospitals.
Apart from 1,269 ambulances which currently operate in the state, 534 more ambulances with the system Advanced life supporters will be available and provided for each block.
Our aim is to help patients reach hospitals within 20 minutes in urban areas and 30 minutes in rural areas, “Pandey said, adding nearly 3,300 doctors, including specialists, will be appointed in five Days ahead of the state.
“Today is a big day for the Ministry of Health.
I have not seen the inauguration of a large number of projects at a time in my five-year term,” he said.
Foundation Stones for 620 Health and Fitness centers, 124 additional primary health centers and 72 public health centers are also launched.
The Ministry of Health has expanded the services provided under ‘Didi Ki Rasoi’ to 32 other hospitals.
Under this service, Jeevika Didis associates to provide fresh food cooked to patients and their servants at the hospital.
Deputy CMS Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi also praised the work carried out by the Ministry of Health.
Others who attended the event included Secretary of the Tripure Secretary, the main secretary for CM Deepak Kumar, Department of Health Secretary of Pratyaya Amrit Secretary, Director of BSMICL Pradeep Kumar Jha, Foreign Executive Director Sanjay Kumar and Executive Director of Anesh Parashar.
