Nitish to attend meets on left wing extremism

Patna: Head of Bihar Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday reached Delhi to participate in a meeting of high-level reviews on left wing extremism (LWE) in 10 countries affected by Maois, which will be held in the National Capital on Sunday.
The meeting organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs Union, will be held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi where the main ministers of the 10 Hit Maois countries are Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal – or their representatives will speak in detail about the Maois scenario in their respective countries, a government official bihar told Ti in Delhi on Saturday.
The Minister of Home Union Amit Shah will lead a high-level meeting, the official said.
Nitish Kumar, said the source, will tell the Union Minister of the current Lwe scenario in Bihar and seek a central assistance in his war against Maois.
As per official record, currently only four districts in Bihar-style, Aurangabad, Jamui, LakhiCarai – are Maoists affected.
Bihar CM, said the source, will also seek financial assistance to carry out special development jobs in the district affected by LWE.
Similar review meetings about Lwewa held every year by the Interior Ministry.
But the meeting could not be held last year (in 2020) because of the relevant locking of Covid-19 and other restrictions, said Bihar government officials.
When overcoming a similar review meeting at Lwewa in Vigyan Bhawan in 2019, Nithish Kumar said that under the country’s federal structure, the center could not escape “mere review roles” by throwing the ball into the state to take action to neutralize the threat of wing extremism Left that has emerged as a challenge against internal security.
“If the effective steps in the real sense must be taken, then the mere discussion with the state government will not be sufficient.
The center also needs to take concrete steps.
Financial grants need to be continued for the scheme that began before – special infrastructure schemes, modernization of police forces and size And their scope needs to be expanded, “Nitish said in August 2019 while overcoming a review meeting in Lwe in Delhi, before the Minister of Houses Amit Shah and the main ministers of several other countries affected by LWE.
