Patna: cm Nith Kumar will look for an appointment with PM Narendra Modi to officially express the desire of the State Assembly that the center must conduct a common caste census in this country, including other backward castels (EBC) (EBC) and other parts, leader RJD Tejashwi Prasad Yadav said on Friday.
Opposition leader, who led the RJD delegation, Congress and left of MLA and met with Nitish on the last day of the state legislative Monsun session, said CM would write a letter to PM in this case back from Delhi in August 2.
BJP restrictions, all political parties, including JD (U) where Nitish belongs, want the center holding a common caste census in the country.
“Therefore, CM has agreed to lead the legislator delegation all parties to PM Modi to notify him of two round resolutions adopted by the State Assembly in 2019 and 2020 for the country’s caste census,” Tejashwi said, adding this movement in the part Nitish will uphold the legislative dignity of Bihar.
“The delegation led by cm will also beg by PM that the center also conducts the CASTA OBC census, EBC and other parts,” Tejashwi said.
Incidentally, the recent center told Lok Sabha that the general caste census would not be done in the country, even though one of the groups of caste (SC) and the scheduled tribes would be held.
BJP has refused to hold a common caste census in this country.
Thoughing that the center might not agree to hold a general caste census, Tejashwi said they were impressed by nitih that the state government itself could hold a caste census in the carnataka pattern with its own resources.
“CM is also very tend to him, even though he doesn’t know how the Karnataka government has done it.
Thus, CM said he would first collect relevant documents from Karnataka and also looked into the legal aspects, before making the last call,” said Tejashwi , The Holding of the Caste is important not only for the government but also for the state community, because they will know their relative numerical strength.
This will help the government in policy formulations in a more focused way to increase the weaker part, the RJD leader said.
Nitish himself did not reveal what happened in his conversation with Tejashwi and delegates consisting of the Sharma Ajeet from Congress, MLBOOB Alam Of CPI (ML), Ajay Kumar of CPI and Ram Ratan Singh from CPM, besides Lalit Kumar Yadav and Tej Pratap from RJD.
