Nagpur: It’s been 17 days since Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) allows a BJP company to use 60 city buses for political rallies and establish party flags.
Even because there are no actions taken against violations so far, Civic’s body has entertained other applications from BJP looking for city buses for a general meeting.
BJP City Secretary General Narendra ‘Balya’ Bornar told the Toi that there was nothing wrong with using city buses for the BJP demonstration and program.
A few days ago, Borrow has submitted an application with the NMC transportation department demanding 100 city buses for preparing rallies on November 15.
The Supplementary City Commissioner NMC Deepak Kumar Meena has told the Toi that city buses cannot be allocated to political parties for their demonstrations and events.
But Borrowkar, also a BJP Corporator from the East Nagpur, said that NMC had decided to rent city buses for the event.
“We are ready to pay fees.
This will provide additional income to city bus services in losses,” he said holders.
The Department of Transportation has sent Borkar applications to high-ranking officials who show that city buses should not be allocated for general meetings.
The department quotes the code of ethics for the selection of MLC and the bus requirements for smooth operation.
However, the NMC administration continues the application to the collector’s office which is looking for opinions whether city buses can be allocated for a general meeting during the code of ethics reply from the waiting collector’s office.
“City buses will not be changed until the office collector gives a green signal,” they said the Dharampal Meshram.A legal consultation committee showed notifications issued for two city transportation department officials but then no action was taken.
