NMC collects RS42.8CR property tax in this 3 fiscal month

Nagpur: About 12% (36,123) of 6 odd property owners in this city utilizing Rabat 10% Nagpur Municipal Corporation in property tax for the current year.
NMC collects RS26.17 Crore from this property owner.

Assistant Commissioner Kota Milind Meshram said the Civic body offered a discount of 10% from June 14 for taxpayers for the current financial year.
From April 1 to June 30, as many as 74,432 have paid RS42.85 cumulative crore as a property tax.
In the same period last year, property tax collection was RS21.51 Crore.
For queries, Meshram says NMC will adjust 10% discount in future payments for those who pay property taxes before June 14.
According to the statistics of the NMC tax department, the property owner of Laxmi Nagar and the Dharampeth Zone leads those who utilize June 10% Rabat.

Of the 6 Lakh property owners, around 66% or 4 Lakh property owners failed to pay NMC property tax.
