Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) function, especially Dhantoli Zone, has come under the scanner.
Apart from the instructions from the President of India (POI), the Prime Minister’s office (PMO) and the office of the Minister of Chief (CMO), the Dhantoli Zone has not initiated actions against illegal encroachment and construction on the housing plot in Chinchbhuvan.
POI has even immediately ordered the zone to hand over the actions taken.
On September 17 this year, Lokayukt the country also admitted complaints and asked the zone office to submit a compliance report.
Chinchbuvan residents and senior citizens, Wisnu Khaware, have accused that despite repeated complaints, the Dhantoli zone does not oppose “the construction of illegal buildings next to his house, owned by one Bobade Satyabhama”.
Bobade allegedly spread to Khaware and extend development in some roads under the Dhantoli zone.
Khaware has tried to free the land that was interrupted and received illegal construction which was destroyed since 2014.
Following Khaware pursuits, the Dhantoli zone served a notification to Bobade and checked the place.
The zone office has found illegal development in the Ground + 2.
Bobde building has done almost 325.06 square meters of illegal construction on almost every floor, according to inspection reports.
The Bobade application for remaining proceedings was also rejected by the NMC City Planning Department and the State Government Urban Development Department.
When the corporation still did not act, finally Khaware met with the Head of the Ministry of Tamaram Mundhe who ordered action.
However, because of covid-induced locking, only a few parts of the destroyed construction and encroachment on the land owned by Khaware.
Officials also ignored the action after the head was changed.
According to Khaware, the Dhantoli zone official gave an unclear answer.
Then, Khaware met the civil heads officer Radhakrishnan B.
Instead of taking action against illegal construction, the zone on June 28 tried to destroy Khawale’s house.
Khaware then filed a complaint with President India (POI), PMO and CMO on July 8 this year.
The commissioner’s assistant zone has provided a written reply about the actions to be taken until September 30.
However, there are no actions taken so far.
Commissioner of the city of Radhakrishnan B assured that the action will begin with violators and illegal development will be destroyed.
