NMC intends to provide a better path before the Civic poll: Bhoyar

Nagpur: Chairman of the Nagpur Committee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Prakash Bhoard on Friday said that before the city went to the civilian poll in early 2022, the BJP in power intends to provide a better road.
“The committee has already provided administrative approval to Jalan Tar Karpet back and the concreteness of four roads throughout the city,” Bhoyar said when talking to the media.
A total of 25 proposals – mostly related to the road – submitted by the citizenship administration.
Bhoyar said the panel gave administrative approval to work worth RS11.62 Crore.
In addition, the panel also gave a tender approval for various works worth RS10.42 Crore, he said.
Bhoyar reviewed the income of seven months NMC and expressed satisfaction of profits by various departments including property tax, water work, advertising and the city planning department.
He said the property tax department has resulted in RS17 Crore’s revenue more than the last fiscal.
Likewise, the city planning department has also been performed well this year compared to the last financial year.
This year so far, NMC has produced RS111.42 Crore, while last year only RS10 Crore.
Bhoyar revealed sadness over a bad recovery by the Ministry of Plantation.
Against RS2.09 Crore Recovery in 2020-21, the department only mopped RS81.61 lakh this year so far, he said.
Bhoyar said that in his eight-month term, the standing panel had provided administrative approval to work worth RS61.82 Crore, while green signals were given to float the tender worth RS93.61 Crore.
