Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Tuesday issued a notification to BJP MLA Krishna Khopde for violating Covid House Guidelines for isolation, just hours after his appearance at a public event.
Khopde has tweeted on January 13th about positive testing and should be in home isolation for a week.
Facing a counter-attack on his actions, MLA Term Three of East Nagpur claimed that a NMC health official who gave him ‘green light’ for steps outside.
“When I was positive, NMC Health Officer Dr.
Sanjay Chilkar told me that if I had no symptoms after three days later I was free to go out.
There are no guidelines like that.
Instead of three days, I was quarantined myself for five days, “Khopde said.
He himself accepted that Tuesday should be the sixth day of isolation.
“On Tuesday morning I called Dr.
Chilkar and said that I had finished five days and I was without any symptoms.
Dr.
Chilkar told me that I was now free and no one was worried about, “Khopde said.
“He told me very clearly that if after three days there were no symptoms, there was no problem,” Khopde added.

“If the case continues to increase, parliamentarians will impose a lock and we will return to being a victim without our fault.
