NMC plan for overhead water tanks in 2 playgrounds is opposed

Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has proposed to build two overhead tanks in Prabhags 3 (D) and 27 (a) in designated places for playgrounds.
MPR and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari have provided RS1.50 Crore for the development of the playground and this resident also opposes the move.
This problem arose for discussion on Friday at a meeting organized by Gadkari considering the delay in building 16 tanks of overhead water throughout the city.
According to BJP Corporator Naseem Bano from Prabhag number 3 (d) in North Nagpur, who has opposed the construction of the tank in the playground, Gadkari has allocated 80 lakh rs for the development of a playground.
“Overhead tank construction will damage the only playground available for 30 different areas in North Nagpur,” he said.
Similar was the opinion of Tansaji Wanve who also faced opposition from Darshan Colony in South Nagpur in Nagpur.
Here also Gadkari has provided RS50 Lakh for the development of a playground.
