NMC requested HYD firm to provide 40 e-buses on November 15

Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation has issued the last ultimatum for Evey Trans Pvt Ltd, a company from Hyderabad, to ensure the delivery of 40 electric buses on November 15 or will start collecting 0.1% fine per day against the guarantee of the performance of RS1.68 Crore.
NMC has explained that there is no further extension to be provided, said sources in the shipping department of transportation.

The source said that the company was under pressure to provide e-buses to the cities of Pune and Mumbai who had ordered larger.
The first lot shipping from 25 buses – in accordance with the receipt letter (LOA) by the company – should be made on September 20.
“Like Loa, the second place of 15 buses should be delivered on November 19,” a senior official from the transportation department.
In a letter to the company, the Transport Manager of the NMC and Deputy Commissioner of the City of Ravindra Bhelave showed that the first lot of 25 buses should be delivered 390 days from the Loa date.
For the 15 remaining buses, the period of time is 450 days.
NMC ruled by BJP has refused to receive 100 electric buses sponsored by the Department of Heavy Industry and Public Business, because of its dangerous financial conditions.
Instead decided to buy only 40 buses under the phase-II fame (adoption faster and manufacture hybrid and electrical vehicles).
Long, NMC has received Rs 3.60 Crore (from RS 18 Crore) because it has chosen 40 midi e -bus and receives RS45 Lakh subsidies for each bus.
NMC will get the second and third installments of RS7.2 Crore each after all 40 e-buses are appointed.
The MIDI bus was obtained from the cost of around RS1.49 Crore each and the cost of procuring all e-buses came to around Rs 60 Crore.
NMC has signed the MoU with the company to operate the bus.
For a query, the official source said the NMC had also identified the depot in Khapri.
The company will develop infrastructure, including 20 charging stations.
After 10 years, it is built and operate, the facility will be transferred to NMC.
