Reason: Illegal use of a booster water pump (Tullu) in the city.
Previously, people used Tullu Pumps only during the summer to draw more drinking water from the pipeline.
But now people are illegally using such pumps almost throughout the year.
After the complaints of low pressure water supply, the NMC water works fly troops along with Orange City water visit Pacham Galli, Bangre plot and adjacent area.
The team confiscated 4 pumps and issued a notification to 8 consumers.
Now, the NMC-OCW has decided to start legal action and termination of tap relationships, especially against those who illegally use booster pumps.
The special zone team has also been conceded to carry out attacks, seize pumps and start legal actions and termination processes in this regard.
NMC has also appealed to citizens to notify the 24×7 OCW free Helpline at 1800-266-9899 or similar information can be forwarded to the NMC zone / delegation manager at the NMC-OCW zonal office if they find the use of booster pumps in their area.
