NMC to seal religious places that violate Norma Covid-19: Civil Heads

Nagpur: Given the rampant violations of the Covid-19 protocol in religious places on the first day reopened, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has decided to start acts against violators.
“If there is management or guardian on religious places found to violate the guidelines, the NMC will issue a warning.
In the second example, the NMC will seal a religious place like that and also punish worshipers,” said Commissioner of Radhakrishnan B to Tii.
The civil heads show that the first critical time Ganesh Utsaav has passed well with controlled Covid-19 cases.
However, the Coronavirus case has not been lost, and we are still at the critical stage, Radhakrishnan shows, urging residents to follow the Covid-19 guidelines such as using face masks strictly.
He said NMC would intensify his encouragement to punish violators of the Covid-19 protocol.
On Friday, following the direction of the civil head, NMC formed a trial of the Nuisance Detection Squad (NDS) that visited several religious sites to check whether the Mandatory Covid-19 protocol was being followed by management and worshipers.
Commander Virsen Tambe said that in the civilian police on Friday found rampant violations in religious places including Ganesh Tekdi, Deekshoom, Meetha Neem Durgah, and Devi’s agyaram temple.
The most common violation is worshipers and even Imam moves without a face mask, Tambe said.
Almost no management or staff found checking the double vaccination certificate of worshipers visiting temples.
“On Friday, the NDS team visited temple and other religious places and issued a warning,” said Tambe, and added that from Saturday and so on NMC will begin to punish violators.
Toi randomly examined several temples and also talked to management officials about vaccination norms on Friday.
In Sai Mandir, one of the leading quil temples of the city, the guard did not request a vaccination certificate for those who entered the place.
Avinash Syegaonkar Temple Secretary said the staff asked for a certificate, but many worshipers also said they were vaccinated but did not carry documents.
“Sometimes it becomes difficult to change it from the gate.
Some just argue that if the moment is freely allowed where else, why should there be sidewalks in the temples?” He said.
Maulana Hafiz Masood of Jamat-e-Ulema-e-Hind, an ulama body, said they had not received an order that said that only vaccinated fully must be permitted.
However, the crowd, stay thin during Friday prayers.
Clerics also insisted on people from the public to be vaccinated, said an ulama.
The All Saints Cathedral, conscious, the oldest church in the city, will open from Sunday.
“Worship is usually held on Sunday, so we decided to start that day.
All the norms will be followed,” said Rajshekar Peter, Secretary.
Kota Commissioner, however, said the assistant Commissioner City of all 10 zones had been directed to continue monitoring religious places in their jurisdiction.
“If there are repetitive offenders found, where they will be sealed,” he said.
Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said he would ensure masks and social blasphemy norms were strictly followed.
“We intend to coordinate with other agents to enforce Covid norms at the temple and ensure worshipers adhering to safety standards and protocols,” he said.
