NMC to spend RS1.28CR on Covid Med Infra

Nagpur: To strengthen its readiness ahead of the third wave projected from the Covid Pandemic, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) all will create additional medical infrastructure by preparing ICU beds, beds of neonatal intensive care units and 150 oxygen points at the Administration Building Jamnaly Bajaj Nagpur University in Ambazari Lake Road.
The Civic body will spend RS1.28 Crore for that purpose, which will be used from the state disaster response fund.
Rececutive engineer (project), the NMC Public Works Department, has submitted a proposal for this effect before the general body meeting was held by the Mayor of Dayashankar Tiawari on July 22.
Because of the restrictions that are induced by Coronavirus, this public body meeting will also be held online.
NMC has taken over the new university administration building for that purpose.
It will set the 30-bed ICU, 20 nicu beds and 150 oxygen the body to give a nod to the proposal.
Discussions on many other proposals will be held during public body meetings.
The Ministry of Plantation has submitted a proposal that seeks to empower the city commissioner to establish terms and conditions when allocating 33 places for kiosks for mother’s milk products.
NMC will provide land for kiosks on 30-year rentals at Re1 per year.
As per proposal, only mother’s dairy products will be sold in designated places throughout the city.
Allottees cannot transfer, sell or combine kiosks to anyone.
The first preference for running a kiosk will be given to freedom fighters, challenged and women physically.
The NMC agreement with Ms.
Dairy will be enforced to affiliated with the National Milk Development Board.
The company’s day gets disassociated, the agreement will be deemed canceled, the proposal is stated.
The proposal for the plantation department to acquire nit land to build a high storage reservoir in the Wathoda area, the decision of the property tax department about providing a 10% discount on property taxes for the current financial year will also be discussed during the meeting.
