Navi Mumbai: Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) on Wednesday released a set of guidelines for celebrating this year’s bakrid in the middle of the ongoing Covid-19 situation.
The Civic body has urged residents to follow the guidelines to prevent and control the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
In accordance with restrictions, all religious activities are prohibited in a state of the pandemic.
Therefore, NMMC urges residents to offer prayers at home and not in the mosque or other public places.
Livestock markets are also declared remained closed.
However, the Civic body mentions that residents can buy animals online or by telephone.
While restrictions to violate the chain are applied on June 6 and instructions are removed from time to time, there will be no relaxation on the occasion of bakrid.
NMMC previously temporarily allowed home to deducting home houses in various parts of the city.
However, this year there is no community slaughterhouse that will be allowed temporarily to prevent the spread of the virus.
