Mumbai: Electrical Distribution Company Maharashtra Limited (MSEDCL) Flying Squad conducted a strict inspection at Panvel Division and explored the Power Theft of Rs 20 Lakh at Uran on Tuesday.
A official said that the team under the supervision of the Chief Engineer Sureshkar conducted an examination at an ice factory in the Uran and found that 1.36,341 electric units were stolen and the total value of theft was Rs 20.6 lakh.
The Uran police have registered fir and order people accused under the Electricity Law.
MSEDCL has also issued a notification for payment of the amount of theft with a penalty, the source added.
