Mumbai: There are 204 officers in the state government that have been trapped by ACB when pampering corrupt acts but surprisingly there has been no action for the suspension department to them.
Likewise, like today, ACB has received 29 of the 204 officers punished but none of them were dismissed, showing data collected by former Commissioner of the Center and Activist RTI Shailesh Gandhi from the ACB website itself.
In his letter to the Upa-Lokayukta Sanjay Bhatia and the Chief Secretary of Sitaram Kunte, Gandhi has said that if the information above by ACB is true, it means that the state government or some of his officials are in conspiracy to encourage and protect corruption and that these cases need to be taken to their logical end.
Interestingly, the majority of these officers came from the Nagpur and Nanded division and mostly belonging to the rural development of the state, education, and sports, income, police, and cooperative (see graph).
“It seems that the law requires action to be taken against such civil servants, and ACB has taken the steps to place this information suo moto on its website.
This rejection to take penalties seems to be an effort to make ACB OCPLESS,” he was stated in his letter.
He had asked them to tell him about the specific actions taken before August 15, 2021 in this case.
Meanwhile, IPS officers turned the lawyer Y P Singh said ACB was a patrot that was locked up.
“These are all small cases of the pan and week as in all cases of large civil servants and politicians have issued a clean cheat or closed case.
This is an uninteresting performance,” he added.
Meanwhile, Head of Secretary Kunte did not respond to messages and calls carried out by TOI to seek his reaction on the status of these cases.
