Chandigarh: In the order of landmark, the State Information Commission (SIC) Haryana has explained that no authority in the country can force RTI applicers to be applied in a certain format or submit evidence of identity with the application.
“RTI Act, 2005 is Act Central and Section 6 (2) of the same allowing the applicant to hide his identity and to find information without reason.
Applicants who make information requests will not be asked to provide reasons to request other personal information or details Unless what might be needed to contact him, “The Commission has been held.
The commission was held that the government Haryana did not make it mandatory to date that the provisions included in the regulations were notified in 2021 that to have information under RTI, one must use a form of performance and provide other details as mentioned.
In the form of A.
“The form provided in the Rights of Information Rights, 2009 is replaced in Haryana Regulations on Information (Amendment), 2021 and A form is the preformed proforma according to the rules notified in 2009 and the same thing is not made mandatory in the regulation which was changed in 2021.
Therefore it is purely on the desire of the RTI Applicant, whether to use the form a or not and whether it will provide an identity card or not, “holds the sic.
