No bias, Tableaux R-Day was chosen by ‘Apolitical Panel’: Government

DLIHI New: The government on Monday rejected the allegations that Tableaux exclusion from several countries from the Republican Day Parade this year was related to ‘political bias’ and regretted efforts by several CMS to link decisions taken by experts ‘apolitical’ committees for regional pride.
The government’s statement came immediately after Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin joined the West Bengal Mamaata Banerjee partner in finding PM Modi intervention on the rejection of Tableaux from their country.
Senior government sources emphasize that the center does not have a role to be played in the call taken by experts.
“We recently saw a letter written by the CMS of the country about Tableaux exceptions from their country.
This is projected as an insult to countries by the central government.
This script also plays almost every year,” a source.
said.
In their response to coincide with the left parties also blame the Tableaux Expression of West Bengal and Kerala besides Tamil Nadu, the sources frowned for what they call “wrong precedents” set by CMS to frame apolitical exercises between the center and countries .
This is not the Modi government that decides on Tableaux because proposals received from various countries and ministries are evaluated in a series of expert committee meetings consisting of leading people of art, culture, sculpture, music, architecture, choreography and other related fields, said source.
“The Expert Committee examines proposals based on themes, concepts, designs and visual impacts before making their recommendations,” said the source.
CPI leader D King alleged that the theme of the Kerala government was rejected because it displayed the Sree Narayana Teacher’s statue and the selection panel wanted to be replaced with one of Adi Sankaracharya.
“The jury is appointed by the Ministry of Defense.
Is it not an attack on Federalism and Indian culture and history?” He asked.
He added that Bengal Tablo in Chandra Bose Subhas and Tamil Nadu Tabloe in Bharathiyar (Subramania Bharathi), VO Chidambararar Pillai and Rani Velu Nachchiyar were also rejected.
Official sources claim that considering the constraints that the parade must end in the period, the proposal of all countries cannot be accommodated.
This year, 21 out of 56 proposals were accepted due to time constraints.
“It’s natural for more proposals to be rejected than they were accepted given the lack of time,” said the source.
“Maybe, some CMS and political parties don’t have their own positive agenda and use the same trick again and again,” said a source.
“It should be noted that Tableaux proposals from Kerala are accepted through the same process in 2018 and 2021.
It should also be noted that the West Bengal proposal was received under the same mode government in 2016, 2017 and 2021.
Furthermore, this year’s CPWD Tableau includes Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, so the question of his insults didn’t even appear, “said a source rejected allegations of discrimination.
