Coimbatore, which stands second on Sunday infection chart with 157 fresh cases, has a TPR which is slightly higher 1.3%.
Erode is another western district with similar TPR.
Namakkal (64 new cases) in this region has 2% highest TPR on Sundays.
“Because vaccine coverage increases, the infection rate has been reduced in 18 Tamil Nadu districts compared to last month and many of which were in West Nadu Tamil Nadu”, said J Radhakrishnan, Secretary of the Public Health.
However, those who suffered from fever must immediately contact the nearest hospital instead of treatment themselves, he told reporters on Sunday.
