‘No covid patients in Bihar died of lack of oxygen’

Patna: Minister of Health Pandey Mangal on Tuesday said no covid patients in Bihar died of lack of oxygen or unavailability of equipment.
He also denied any death because the delay provided ICU bed to covid patients.
Pandey replied to the question starring by MLC Prem congress Chandra Mishra at Vidhan Parishad on the day of Seond Monsoon session.
Mishra said a large number of Covid patients died in the second wave and more than 30% of them because of the infection in the ICU because the equipment was not sterilized properly and cleanliness was not maintained.
He also said the lack of oxygen and failure to provide ICU facilities to covid patients was also the reason behind many deaths.
He further said these problems had been shown by the AIims-Patna doctors during the training program for health workers where Minister of Health Pandey and the State Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey was also present.
However, the Minister of Health clarified that doctors in the training session raised these problems to make health workers aware of different problems that could occur.
He further said the government took all the steps needed to strengthen health infrastructure.
However, Mishra accused a large number of bodies dismissed in Ganga.
Previously, RJD MLC Sunil Kumar Singh demanded a discussion of Covid-19 and preparation for the third wave.
He said more than 5,000 people in Bihar lost their lives in the first and second waves and the government did not take important steps to overcome the third wave estimated.
“A large number of people have to sell their land to clean the hospital bills.
Although the third wave has been predicted, the government does not take enough steps and the vaccination rate is slow compared to the large population of Bihar,” Singh said.
Another RJD MLC, RAM Chandra Purbey, also made a request to a seat to immediately discuss this issue.
